Speakia Tutor Membership is designed to support different types of tutors and teaching businesses.

Some tutors use the Speakia app and teaching resources flexibly within their existing lessons to support speaking practice. Others prefer the expanded system, with dashboard tools for managing students, assigning app-based homework, and tracking progress over time.

Flexible speaking practice support for independent tutors

Solo is designed for tutors who want to use Speakia to support and strengthen their existing teaching without managing students through a central dashboard system.

You can use the Speakia app and teaching resources flexibly within lessons, use activities for guided speaking practice, and optionally recommend the app to parents for additional home use if you choose.

There is no requirement for parents or students to purchase or use the app independently, and there is no requirement to manage students centrally through the platform.

Solo is intended to give tutors greater structure, curriculum visibility, and access to speaking-focused resources while still allowing complete flexibility in how Speakia is incorporated into lessons and tutoring programmes.

Best suited to tutors who:

  • work primarily independently or one-to-one
  • want structured speaking practice resources
  • may optionally recommend the app for additional home practice
  • want flexibility in how they use Speakia
  • do not need dashboard-based student management

Studio is designed for independent tutors and small tutoring setups who want to use the expanded Speakia system to organise student speaking practice more centrally.

In addition to using the app and teaching resources within lessons, Studio members can manage students through the dashboard, assign app-based homework, and monitor learner progress over time.

Studio includes a single tutor dashboard account and is designed for one tutor managing multiple students through Speakia.

Student capacity options are available for up to 10, 20, or 35 students depending on the needs of your teaching setup.

Best suited to tutors who:

  • teach multiple students one-on-one or small groups
  • want to assign speaking practice for home learning
  • want visibility of student progress through the app
  • prefer a more structured workflow around Speakia
  • want central management of student app access
